Primary Care– Sandhills Medical Foundation, Inc. (SMF) believes in treating the whole person. We offer comprehensive health care to all of our patients. As a patient centered medical home, our physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical staff are here to serve you. We provide a wide range of healthcare from treating short term ailments, behavioral health care, to chronic illness such as diabetes and hypertension. Sandhills also provides services and screenings to prevent ailments that lead to chronic illnesses.
Occupational Health– We offer Workman comprehensive exams, DOT physicals, and work physicals.
Infectious Disease – Sandhills Medical Foundation, Inc. has received a grant to provide Ryan White Part C HIV Early Intervention Services to persons living with HIV/AIDS.
Pediatrics- SMF understands the need to take care of all family members including our most precious ones. We offer pediatric services at most of our locations. We are able to provide, newborn care, well checkups, sick visits, and school and sports physicals.
*Camden site does not provide pediatric services.
Behavioral Health– We offer behavioral health counseling to our patients. With physical ailments that could lead to stress and fatigue, we offer a comprehensive healthcare model to ensure patients mental well being is being addressed. Counseling is available for depression, stress, chronic pain, anxiety, addiction, ADD/ADHD, anger management and more. Patients can ask their SMF provider about seeing one of our licensed therapists.
Patient Education– Education is key in providing quality health care. Sandhills clinical staff provides information about your condition, how to manage it, and treatment adherence. The pharmacy staff provides medication treatment therapy.
Case Management– We provide medical case management to patients with chronic diseases. The medical case manager will be able to help the patient navigate their health and maximize resources. The medical case manager also ensures the patient is receiving the appropriate level of care, treatment, and services needed to maintain health.
On-Site Pharmacy – Most of our health centers have an on-site pharmacy. The pharmacy provides discounted medications, patient assistance program, and medication counseling. The pharmacy services are available during health center hours.
On-site Laboratory– Each health center has an onsite laboratory. The laboratory services can be provided during your office visit. Our providers order lab work to monitor chronic conditions, preventive screenings, and medical diagnosis. The labs we are able to complete on-site include urine pregnancy tests, rapid strep tests, blood glucose checks, rapid HIV test, hemoglobin, hemoglobin A1C, and routine urinalysis.
On-site Fitness Center– Our McBee location offers a fitness site to all community members. It has top of the line fitness equipment to meet all of your needs. The fitness center is open daily from 5Am – 10PM. Contact McBee location to inquire about becoming a member.
Women’s Health– SMF asserts every effort to meet the needs of women. Our health center offers various services such as pap smear exams, gynecological exams, Best Chance Network, and well woman exams.
Immunizations– Adult immunizations are offered at all of our health care centers. Children immunizations are offered at Lugoff, McBee, and Jefferson health centers only. Each health center offers immunizations such as pneumovax (pneumonia), flu shots, HPV(Gardisil), and Hepatitis B to name a few.
Specialty Referrals– While SMF providers attempt to meet the needs of all of our patients, there are times when a specialist is needed to assist with your condition. Sandhills refers to local specialist, who may offer a reduced fee, for our patients.
