Angela Mearns joined the clinical team at Sandhills Medical in 2024, bringing over 16 years of advanced clinical experience to our patient community. Originally from Greenwood, SC, and a resident of the Charlotte area for over five years, Angela provides a localized understanding of the healthcare needs within our region.
As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Angela specializes in providing comprehensive care for patients across the entire lifespan. Her background is distinguished by deep expertise in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, and Cardiology, allowing her to manage complex health conditions with a focus on long-term wellness and preventative care. Angela is particularly recognized for her dedication to the geriatric population, ensuring our senior patients receive expert, compassionate management for age-related health concerns.

Ashley Tolbert has been an integral part of the Sandhills Medical clinical team since 2014. As a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Ashley is dedicated to providing expert healthcare services to our youngest patients, from birth through adolescence.
Ashley earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of South Alabama in 2013, building upon a strong clinical foundation established during her undergraduate studies at USC Upstate. Her commitment to clinical excellence is further evidenced by her active membership in the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), ensuring she remains at the forefront of the latest advancements in pediatric healthcare.

Andrew “Drew” Murphy joined the Sandhills Medical clinical team in October 2015. A long-time resident of Summerville, SC, Drew brings over a decade of dedicated healthcare experience to our patient community, combining a high-level academic background with a versatile clinical approach.
Drew earned his Master of Health Science from Duke University, one of the nation’s top-ranked programs. Prior to his graduate studies, he developed a strong clinical foundation as a Heart and Vascular Technician at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). At Sandhills Medical, Drew provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. He possesses a unique clinical interest in zoonotic health (illnesses and injuries related to animal contact), bridging his background in Veterinary Science with modern human medicine.

Outside of the clinic, Drew is a devoted husband and father. An avid soccer fan and aquarium enthusiast, he also enjoys exploring paleontology (a self-proclaimed dinosaur lover) and the latest in video game technology.

Dr. William “Bill” Wagers joined the Sandhills Medical clinical team in 2022, bringing a remarkable 36 years of chiropractic expertise to our patients. A native South Carolinian, Dr. Wagers is dedicated to serving the communities of Lugoff and McBee, providing high-level musculoskeletal care and wellness solutions.
Dr. Wagers earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree with honors from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, GA, following his undergraduate studies in biology at Winthrop College. Before joining our organization, he spent decades building a reputation for clinical excellence through his private practice in Camden. Today, he leverages that extensive experience to provide specialized adjustments and holistic health strategies for the Sandhills Medical patient base.
