Amanda brings more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience across clinical operations, healthcare technology, and payer-provider systems. Her previous roles include senior executive positions at national organizations like Nursa, CareRev, and UnitedHealth Group OPTUM, where she focused on workforce solutions and care coordination. Amanda brought this national perspective to Kershaw County because she believes the most meaningful healthcare innovation happens at the community level. At Sandhills Medical, she is building a modern, tech-enabled infrastructure that expands access and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care directly to the communities we serve.

David E. Thompson is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner who has been an essential clinical leader in Lugoff since joining Sandhills Medical in 2011. Appointed as Interim Chief Medical Officer in April 2024, David combines administrative oversight with active patient care. Over his three-decade healthcare career, he served as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Prisma Health in Columbia and spent more than 15 years as an advanced practice nurse. He is also a proud military veteran, having served honorably as a Medical Specialist, Combat Medic, and Licensed Practical Nurse in the United States Army and the United States National Guard. David stands firmly rooted in the Patient-Centered Medical Home model of care, partnering with individuals and families to manage acute and chronic conditions while ensuring every patient feels respected and empowered.

Dr. Erin Rollings serves as the Chief Pharmacy Officer at Sandhills Medical, bringing over 18 years of specialized pharmacy experience to the leadership team. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy, establishing a deep-rooted commitment to the health of the South Carolina community. Since joining Sandhills Medical in 2013, Dr. Rollings has been instrumental in expanding the organization’s clinical reach. She oversees operations for four in-house pharmacies, ensuring seamless pharmaceutical care across all locations. She also directs the organization’s 340B program, a vital initiative that optimizes drug pricing and increases healthcare accessibility for underserved populations. Dr. Rollings cultivated a versatile background in both retail and primary care settings, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the operational challenges and patient-facing needs of modern pharmacy practice.

Jackie Sutton serves as the Vice President of Operations at Sandhills Medical, drawing on a 30-year career to drive organizational growth and operational discipline. With a background as a Market Executive in the banking industry, Jackie specializes in managing complex multi-site operations, financial stewardship, and large-scale team development. At Sandhills Medical, she aligns the operational infrastructure with the mission of clinical excellence. She translates her expertise in process optimization and risk management into the healthcare environment, focusing on enhancing efficiency, supporting frontline staff, and ensuring a seamless experience for every patient. Known for her practical problem-solving and lead-from-the-front philosophy, Jackie builds high-performing teams and creates structured environments where staff can thrive.

Joe Derry serves as the Chief Financial Officer, bringing over 25 years of leadership in finance, operations, and organizational strategy to the executive team. With a focus in the Federally Qualified Health Center and nonprofit sectors, Joe navigates complex regulatory environments while maintaining rigorous fiscal integrity. Since 2016, his leadership has ensured consistent full fiscal compliance during HRSA Operational Site Visits and clean annual audits. With a foundational background in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Finance, Joe blends technical precision with executive vision. He remains dedicated to developing strategic initiatives around value-based payment models to strengthen the margin and mission of community health centers.

Karen Clyburn is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a seasoned healthcare leader with over 30 years of clinical and operational experience. A cornerstone of the clinical team at Sandhills Medical since 2011, Karen provides comprehensive, evidence-based primary care while serving as a strategic mentor and clinical leader. Her work focuses on managing complex chronic conditions and streamlining patient protocols to ensure clinical excellence across the organization. Her career spans primary care, acute care, and home health, including significant tenures at Kershaw County Memorial Hospital and United Health Care. This broad expertise allows her to collaborate effectively with executive leadership to optimize patient throughput, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive measurable improvements in clinical outcomes. A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Karen applies the operational discipline and decisive problem-solving from her military service to her daily practice. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana State University and is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Kimdra Raigin serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Sandhills Medical, leading organizational strategy across human capital, workforce development, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. In her role, she oversees employee relations, staff retention initiatives, and human resources administration across Sandhills Medical’s health center locations. Kimdra is focused on fostering an inclusive, collaborative organizational culture and building modern workforce solutions that support Sandhills Medical’s mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to the communities it serves.

Sena Ocloo serves as Chief Information Officer, leading the technology strategy, information systems, cybersecurity, and data governance for Sandhills Medical. He joins the executive team through a strategic partnership with Kintegra Health, where he has served as CIO for over 13 years and guided the organization through significant infrastructure expansion. Sena brings this extensive operational experience to Sandhills Medical to build a resilient, modern technology environment. He focuses on aligning IT investments with broader clinical goals, ensuring that strong security and reliable connectivity directly support initiatives like digital check-in and real-time access to medical records. Sena is dedicated to driving the operational efficiencies that allow clinicians to focus fully on delivering exceptional patient care.

Shannon Blackwell is a results-driven healthcare leader with over 15 years of experience in clinical operations, quality improvement, and executive leadership within the Federally Qualified Health Center landscape. As the Director of Continuous Improvement at Sandhills Medical, Shannon leads organization-wide initiatives that bridge the gap between clinical excellence and operational efficiency across our multi-site system. She spearheads performance improvement efforts tied to HRSA requirements, Uniform Data System reporting, and value-based care. By leveraging Lean and PDSA methodologies, she has a proven track record of reducing cycle times, improving provider productivity, and closing population health gaps in chronic disease management and preventive care. Having begun her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse before moving into care management and executive-level leadership, Shannon deeply understands patient care from the frontline up. This allows her to standardize reporting infrastructure and automate processes in a way that remains rooted in the patient experience.
