Dr. McGinnis utilizes a patient-centered, evidence-based approach. He focuses on effective hands-on manipulation and empowers his patients through self-management strategies and lifestyle modifications for long-term spinal health. He is a firm believer in integrated care, frequently collaborating with other healthcare providers to manage complex cases. A proud second generation chiropractor, he began his journey at Clemson University, completing his Doctor of Chiropractic at Life University in Georgia.
Throughout his thirty-year career, Dr. McGinnis has been a steadfast advocate for the chiropractic profession. His expertise extends beyond the clinic to national leadership roles, having served as a Board Member for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Governor of the American Chiropractic Association, and contributing his time to the South Carolina Chiropractic Association, among various other influential healthcare boards.
Before joining Sandhills Medical, Dr. McGinnis was in private practice in Sumter, SC, where he and his father together have collectively provided a legacy of care for the community spanning over 75 years. He specializes in treating low back and neck pain, cervical spine-related conditions, and pain management through therapeutic modalities. Using an integrated multi-disciplinary approach is what many patients with spine-related disorders require for optimal outcomes.
A true enthusiast of the South Carolina lifestyle, Dr. McGinnis is an avid golfer and a certified scuba diver. When he isn’t in the office, you’ll likely find him at the beach enjoying time with his wife, and their “lab tech”, Tillie.
