Kelly Myers brings over 25 years of extensive clinical and nursing experience to the Sandhills Medical team in Sumter. A native of Sumter, SC, she is deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality primary care to the community she calls home.
Before transitioning to her advanced practice role in 2020, Kelly built a formidable clinical foundation across a wide spectrum of high-acuity environments. Her background includes specialized care in adult and pediatric trauma, oncology, intensive care (NICU and PICU), and medical-surgical units. Her distinguished career also features international experience, having served overseas as a civilian General Schedule (GS) nurse for the United States Navy.
Kelly earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education and Leadership from Aspen University before completing her Family Nurse Practitioner graduate degree at Herzing University. Her diverse background in both high-stakes trauma and primary care equip her to manage complex health needs for patients of all ages.
Outside the clinic, Kelly is deeply family oriented. She and her husband of over 20 years, Greg, share five children, ten grandchildren, and two beloved dogs, Maxx and Zeus. Whether they are taking the boat out on Lake Wateree, enjoying a trip to the beach, or hosting a family cookout, she fully embraces the South Carolina lifestyle.
