CAMDEN, S.C. — Sandhills Medical announced today the consolidation of a small number of clinic and pharmacy locations across its service area as part of a broader effort to improve access and strengthen care delivery for the communities it serves.
Effective July 8, 2026, the following locations will close: Ruby, Pageland and Camden Mental Health. Patients at each affected site are being contacted directly with information about their nearest Sandhills location, where their medical records and any existing payment arrangements will transfer automatically. Transportation assistance is also available for patients who need it.
“Sandhills Medical exists to serve our communities, and that requires being honest about where and how we can serve them best,” said Amanda Duke, Chief Executive Officer. “These decisions were not made lightly. Every patient affected will have a Sandhills location ready to see them, and we are committed to making this transition as easy as possible.”
Sandhills Medical serves more than 12,000 patients across four counties and operates primary care, mental health, pharmacy, and other services at locations throughout the region. The organization is actively evaluating opportunities to expand and deepen its presence in the communities it serves, including returning to some areas in formats that better reflect local needs.
For patients with questions, call 866-737-4031, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
